Daniel James Weaver

09/06/1946 - 01/25/2022

Lonsdale, MN—Dan was born September 6, 1946 and passed away peacefully at home surrounded with family on January 25, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Julie, daughters; Brandy (Danny) Weaver, Brittney Weaver, Brooke (Andre) Finlinson, stepchildren; Heather, Tiffany & Kim, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Dan is also survived by his brothers; Gary (Shauna) Weaver, Kim (Donis) Weaver, Frank (Lezlie) Fox, sisters; Nancy (Chuck) Sperry, Susan (Jay) Smith, all his cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Dan was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and in 2014 moved to Belle Plaine, MN. He proudly served in Korea and Vietnam from 19631966. He received the following decorations: Purple Heart, Marksman (Rifle), Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He worked for the Salt Lake City Police Department as a Crime Lab Technician for 17 years and retired in 2012.

Dan had a extremely quick wit, an infectious smile and a way of making you laugh (even if you did not want to). He loved his job, road trips, going to the shooting range with friends and family, thrift store, pawn shop and antique shopping.

A Celebration of his life will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah at First Congregational Church, 2150 Foothill Blvd on June 4, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

I would like to thank St. Croix Hospice (Bloomington and Mankato, MN locations) the nurses and personal care personnel for their compassion and support.
