1934 ~ 2022

Jacqueline Henschke Jenson passed away on May 23, 2022. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 9, 1934 to John and Ruth Nelson Henschke. She was educated in the Jordan School District, graduating from Jordan High School in 1952 and was always and forever a Jordan Beetdigger.

Jackie always wanted to marry a farmer and live on a farm with lots of cows, which she did. Jackie married Burdett Devoe Jenson on Saturday, February 15, 1969. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Latter-day Saints Temple on May 4, 1978. They lived for many years in Draper, before moving to South Jordan.

Jackie was a professional secretary in the film industry working for United Artist and for Tony Redman’s Company. When she retired, she and Burdett started a new life of adventures in travel and fishing.

Jackie had many Church callings and many hobbies including sewing, cooking and needle work of all kinds. She was an excellent bowler and had many games in the 200’s.

Survived by her sisters Joanne (Pete) Henschke, Renee (Dut) Brown, Susie Bishop and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Burdett.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June, 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, with a viewing prior from 9:00-9:45 a.m. Interment will follow in the South Jordan City Cemetery.
