Proposed quarry in Parleys Canyon

Granite Construction has revised its proposed limestone quarry to just 20 acres, qualifying the controversial project for an expedited review by state mine regulators. Renamed the I-80 South Quarry, the mine would result in a major industrial operation inside one of the Wasatch Mountains’ busiest canyons.
