Kjartan Theodore (KT) Magnusson

Salt Lake City, UT—KT hated long obits. He really wanted just a picture of a frog and ‘He Croaked’, but I want a little more.

Kjartan T. Magnusson was born on January 1, 1939 in Ontario, CA.

Married Judith Done in 1962, three kids, later divorced.

KT proudly served in the 33d US Army Band in Heidelberg, Germany 1963-65. He is a Professor Emeritus at Salt Lake Community College, retiring in 2018 after 46 years of teaching.

KT met his love, Jill (me) and we married in 1991. We enjoyed traveling and just hanging out. I will miss him greatly.

For relaxation he loved playing bluegrass on the banjo, working on projects in the garage and walking our dog Toby.

KT is survived by his wife Jill Berman, daughters Kelly (Ernie) Figueroa & Janae Magnusson, sister Linda (Ken) Serabia, grandkids Tatiana, Emilie, Max & Kiana. Preceded in death by his son Kristopher.
