Thomas G. Brown

1/5/1937 ~ 8/9/2022

Salt Lake City, UT—Our sweet, loving Tom passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of August 9, 2022. Tom was born in January of 1937 to his parents, George and Christina Brown, in Lanarkshire, Scotland. He was the oldest of three children. He had a happy childhood living in Strathaven, Scotland. Tom was a mechanical engineer and draughtsman in Glasgow. He transferred to Salt Lake in the early 70’s. He and his first wife, Cathie, moved to California for three years and then back to Salt Lake until his death. He married Lin in September of 2015 and again in August 2022. Tom was a quiet, gentle, loving person his entire life. He will be greatly missed by his sister, Margaret, his niece, Christine, and his nephew, Lain; his wife Lin and all of her family who happily adopted him; and friends from Scotland, Ireland, and the US, and many Hibernians. Soccer was his passion and he would watch all the games he could even if he already knew the result!

A Celebration of Life will be on Wednesday, August 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, UT. Please share your memories and photos with the family at www.starksfuneral.com

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Lung Association.
