Lanh Ta Huynh

1954-2022

West Jordan, UT—Lanh Ta Huynh passed away peacefully while surrounded by her cherished family on November 28, 2022 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Lanh was born in Da Nang, Vietnam on February 16, 1954 the 2nd child born to Be Tran and Phat Huynh. She immigrated to Utah in 1980 to join her sister Kathy and her family. She was a loving and caring grandmother, mother, sister and aunt who treated all of her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. Lanh Ta Huynh was named after an orchid and was indeed a rare and beautiful flower. She was a strong independent woman who hustled and willed herself into a successful life for her family. Lanh had an infectious laugh and a unique sense of fashion. She enjoyed the little things in life and always tried to include her loved ones in activities.

She is survived by her daughter Kim Ngoc (TJ); her 2 grandchildren Amii Minh and Trex Thao; Tam Minh Ta; her 9 siblings; Ty, Dzung, Giang Nhat, Hue, Phuong, Hoa, Huu, Ngoc Hoa and Hai; and her mother Be Tran. She was preceded in death by her sister Kathy Nguyen and father Phat Huynh.

Visitation will be Dec. 1st noon-2pm and interment will be at 2:30pm at Redwood Memorial 6500 South Redwood Road Taylorsville, UT
