Community Food and Fun Festival

BY HEATHER MADSEN

June is here, schools are letting out, and the season for festivals is upon us! There’s nothing that brings communities together like outdoor festivals and markets. It’s a great way to spend time as a family, discover new artists, eat amazing food, and meet incredible new people. If you live near South Jordan, then the perfect first festival of the summer is coming your way: The Community Food and Fun Festival! If you don’t live near South Jordan, then maybe consider making the trek out there anyway, because this party sounds like a lot of fun! The festival will take place on June 10th, at the Highland Park Soccer Fields. The people who organize this festival have combined all of your favorite parts of farmer’s markets and art fairs to make the ultimate summer event. For the foodies out there, you’ll want to make your way over to the food trucks where you can get yourself a smorgasbord of different options. For the artsy folks (and the folks who love shopping) there will local businesses and vendors, set up farmer’s market-style, for you to peruse. Maybe you’ll find your new favorite artisan or the perfect unique gift to give your dad on Father’s Day! If you’re worried about how far your budget is going to stretch with a whole summer of festivals ahead, don’t be! You don’t have to spend money to enjoy your time at the The Community Food and Fun Festival! Just swing by the check-in booth on your way in and get your stamp card which will allow you to get a whole bunch of free stuff, including cotton candy, caricatures, balloon animals, and more. So grab your friends, your family, and your kids and join us for an awesome festival that will set the bar high for the rest of the summer!
