Sir Ben Kingsley takes on the role of one of the most world-renowned artists of the 20th century with this portrayal of Salvador Dalí. Set in New York and Spain in 1974, the biopic focuses on the later years of the peculiar marriage between Dalí and his wife, Gala (Barbara Sukowa), as their seemingly unshakable bond begins to crumble, and how the eccentric and mercurial artist prepares for a big gallery show.

“Playing Dalí and having watched so many glorious hours of footage of him, I grew terribly fond of him,” Kingsley, 79, says. “He encouraged me to think outside of the box and to take risks and to embrace the passion of my craft, as he embraced the passion of his.”
